Strategic & Site MES Deployment

Deploying a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) or MES individual objects into a production environment, as with any other complex software, has risks associated with it.
However, MES deployment risk can be mitigated by leveraging Seabrook Technology Group’s expertise.

Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) validation is becoming more complex with connectivity, flexibility and functionality. As regulatory scrutiny increases Seabrook’s technology assistance for clients is helping them regulations from conception throughout operation of their MES.

MES Vendor Selection

ISA-95 Analysis Vendor Selection & RFP Guidance

This unique system and vendor selection offering enables life science manufacturing companies to select systems that best match their processes and deliver the highest return on investment (ROI).  It does this while enabling continuous improvement and manufacturing excellence.

Seabrook’s regulated industry expertise – coupled with our Manufacturing Enterprise Solutions knowledge and experience in the life science manufacturing industry – allows our clients unrivaled insight into the strategy and process for the best selection of systems to meet and exceed their manufacturing needs.

In the vendor selection offering, Seabrook will provide a textual description of your business process mapped to the ISA-95 model for integration enterprise and control systems.

This will be accomplished through:
  • Analysis of process documentation
  • Interviews with key employees and/or departments
  • On site ‘Gemba Walk’ (alternatively; process videos)

The output will be a blueprint of the current business landscape:

  • Analyse the business landscape & requirements
  • Create a list of potential vendors
  • Create a Request for Information (RFI), and evaluate responses to generate a “short list” of vendors
  • Guide the client through the Request for Proposal (RFP) process

Negotiating contracts to get the enterprise the best value for their money:

  • List the priorities of the client as well as alternatives
  • Display the difference between what the company wants and what the company likes
  • Define any time constraints and benchmarks the company may have
  • Assess potential liabilities and risks
  • Confidentiality, non-compete, dispute resolution, changes in requirements

Strategic & Site MES Deployment

Deploying a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) or MES individual objects into a production environment, as with any other complex software, has risks associated with it.  However, Seabrook Technology Group can help you to mitigate those risks!  MES drastically changes the business process, and has a major impact on the daily business life of end users.

When implementing an MES successfully, communication is key. Successful MES implementation depends on gaining insights and input from every department that will ultimately be affected by an MES. Furthermore, Seabrook recommends that successful change management strategies be in place to ensure smooth transition and alignment between technology, personnel and existing business processes.

MES deployment is a complex endeavor, requiring a full project team. On average, MES deployment takes approximately six to twelve months depending on the complexity of the project.  Additionally, the timeline and complexity are further impacted if MES is deployed in multiple sites.

Most multinational manufacturing operations that have multiple sites in various nations share information about manufacturing operations through an Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP), or are transitioning to this model. For global manufacturers MES deployment is a major hurdle with many moving parts. Seabrook can help organizations roll out a standardized software application process management system to help global manufacturers regardless of size or location(s).

Validation

Seabrook Technology group assists clients in meeting regulatory demands from conception to go-live operation of their MES Systems.

Validation of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) is becoming more and more complex with connectivity, flexibility and functionality.  Because of this, scrutiny by regulatory authorities has dramatically increased.  Seabrook Technology group assists clients in meeting regulatory demands from conception to go-live operation of their MES Systems.

Validation is accomplished by verifying each stage of the software development life cycle. Utilizing our experience and process expertise, we efficiently drive and support this validation process by providing reduced timescales and clarity of requirements – which enhances MES implementation.
